Activities

Overview

Activities is an Altergo feature allowing the user to label specific timeframes of an entity's lifetime. Multiple entities of different nature can participate to the same activity. Each activity is bound by a start time and an end time. The user can assign activities for each functionality to contextualize sensor data The highlighted yellow rectangle is where the activities are visualized. annotely_image-2023-03-15T174111.678.png

Browse

The Search bar on the platform enables the user to search for a specific activity among the existing ones. The user can serach for the activity by the Name of the activity, Tags, or Asset as the keyword to narrow down the search results. chrome_tuX20fH8Mo.gif

Filters

The user can sort activities within the platform by applying filters as key: value pairs. The available filter keys are

  • Name(name of activity)
  • Tag
  • Assets
  • Metadata Key
  • Metadata Value
  • Start Date
  • End Date

The user can add values corresponding to the filter keys to pick out the desired activity.

Date selectors

Date Selector enables the user to get all the activities in the desired period of time. Along with predefined time periods, the user can create a custom range by specifying the start date and end date. annotely_image-2023-03-16T140303.942.png

Create

In this article, the activity is created on the platform using its user interface. chrome_IHUxl993dz.gif

Alternatively, the user can use the software development kit of Altergo to create activities.

  1. Add activity Name
  2. Add activity Description
  3. Add activity Start date
  4. Add activity End date
  5. Add Tags

  1. Add Asssets
  2. Add Location. Affixing the Location details with an activity enables the user to get site details where this operation is being done.
  3. Add Metadata. Metadata can be added in a combination of "key" and "value" pair. It is used to add additional information about the activity itself e.g. if you want to create a lifecycle test activity then you can save the operator's name as the metadata. chrome_RMHFOi8i5u.gif
  4. Click on Create activity

Actions

The user can execute certain actions on the existing activities. These include Edit, Clone and Delete annotely_image-2023-03-16T194313.702.png

Edit 🖆

The platform enables the user to Edit an existing activity. Click on the 🖆 icon to open the editing page. The Edit Activity page holds the same UI of create activity page.

Clone

Clone enables the user to create identical replicas of an existing activity. Click on the icon to open the clone page.Clone Activity has all the UI of create activity page with the parameter values same as that of the corresponding activity

Delete 🗑

The user is able to delete an activity. Click on the 🗑 icon to permenently delete an existing activity

Visualize

The user can visualize activities linked with an asset using the visualization tool of the Altergo platform. Click on the 👁 icon in the asset column corresponding to the activity to be visualized. annotely_image-2023-03-16T194504.293.png
