Alerts
Overview
Alerts
is a fault detection and notification service for any abnormal behavior which is offered by Altergo. It sends Platform notifications
, Emails
and Text messages
to make the user cautious when an abnormality is observed in any of the sensors data.
There are 2 sections:
Alerts
: It states a list of all the triggered alerts with its details.Alerts Manager
: It states a list of all the alert rules defined by the user and a place where we can create new alerts.
Alerts manager
The Alerts Manager
feature of Altero
includes all the user-defined alert conditions. The user can leverage the alert manager for Creating
, Editing
, Activating \ Deactivating
and Deleting
an alert according to requirements.
Create
The user can create customized conditions regarded as Alert rules
for the generation of new alerts.
To setup a new alert criterion on the Altergo platform, Follow these steps
- Go to
Alerts
tab - Click on
Create alert rule
- Add alert
Name
- Add alert
Description
(Optional) - Under
Tags
, add name oftags
corresponding to the group of assets the user want to target with the alert.
Setting alert condition
- From
Select sensor model
, select the sensor to which the alert needs to setup. - From
Select condition
select the appropriate operator (* <, <=, >, >=, ==, != *) to create required alert. - Add
Threshold value
for the selected sensor as per the alert criterion - Select
Alert type
from the dropdown (Critical, Warning, Info, Log) according to priority. - Add
Triggering time
in seconds (Keep theImmediate trigger
box checked [✓] if the user needs an instantaneous alert ) It is to configure after how much time, once the alert condition is met, you want the alert notification.
Triggering time
is the time gap between the sensor data reaching the alert conditions and the generation of the corresponding alert
- Add
Time interval
in minutes for setting the frequency of sending alerts - Add alert
Recipients
- Select preferred
Notification Channel
(The user can opt for alert notification asEmail
or ``Text message) - Click on
Create alert rule
Alert Notifications will always be sent to Altergo platform.
Operations
The user can perform certain operations on the created alert rules. These include View alerts
, Edit
, Activate/Deactivate
and Delete
View alerts(𓆣)
Click on the 𓆣
icon to get all generated alerts corresponding to the alert rule
Edit(🖆)
Click on the 🖆
icon to edit an alert rule
Activate(▷) / Deactivate(🛇)
Yo can activate ▷
or deactivate 🛇
an alert rule by clicking the corresponding icon. Once an alert is activated, the platform shows the status as Active
and Inactive
when deactivated
Delete( 🗑)
Click on 🗑
icon to delete an alert rule from the platform
Alerts
The user can look at all the active or triggered alerts in this section. There are 2 types of status:
- Open Alerts : All the alerts which are triggered due to some unfavorable condition in your fleet are open alerts
- Closed Alerts: The alerts which were triggered and marked as resolved by the fleet operator are termed as closed alerts
Incident report
The user can generate and download a comprehensive alert report from the Altergo platform in either CSV, Excel or PDF formats. To create an incident report, Follow these steps
- Click on

- Choose the needed date range from

option click on the desired file format (CSV

)
You can also apply filters to specifically look at some alert types. The available filters are :
Status
: open | close | keep blank for bothSerial number
: Input atleast 1 digit in serial number to get specific component alerts | keep blank for all componentsAlert rule
: Name of alert rule by which you want to filter all the alertsAlert type
: Critical | Warning | Info | Log
The file gets downloaded on the user’s local machine
Handling alert
Altergo provides the user the ability to manage generated alerts. These include View
, Mark as Resolved
, Mark All as Resolved
View(👁)
The user can visualize the portion of sensor data responsible for triggering an alert by clicking the 👁
icon of the corresponding alert. You will get redirected to the Visualisation tool
for this corresponding component
Mark as Resolved (✓)
The user can click the ✓
icon of alert, once it is resolved. This action will change Status
of alert from OPEN
to CLOSE
Mark All as Resolved(✔)
When all the alerts triggered under an alert rule are fixed, the user can click the ✔ icon to mark all as resolved. This will change Status
of all the alerts from OPEN
to CLOSED
